While we do have a mostly-snotty attitude half the time, we’ll gladly share all the best on what music you should be listening to and why. What is a broken hipster? Definitely a good question; a “broken” hipster is similar to the original, but it’s admittedly imperfect. A hipster is supposedly one of the cultural elite. They tend to be found more on the East Coast, especially around New York City in the artier areas like Williamsburg. You’ll see these scenesters with their perfectly coifed hair and outfits that they’ve spend hours throwing together, but they have this complete and utter denial that goes along with it. They pretend that they just rolled out of bed and magically appeared this way. Hipsters over analyze everything and plan each element to death.

As a broken hipster you have the freedom to be yourself. It doesn’t matter if you’re too young or too old to follow every little trend. If you don’t have rich parents to pay for shopping trips, no big deal. It’s also okay to not hit all the best clubs once you have kids. Here, we release you to explore music and movies based on your own pure love of the medium. Don’t worry what other people think. Do it because you dig it. There’s no need to pretend. If you make a fashion faux pas, we won’t laugh. Okay, at least we’ll try not to. Once the laughter subsides, we’ll get you headed in the right direction. While hipsters may be pretentious, they also tend to have great taste as well, so take from them what you can and give it your own personal twist.
